Despite numerous attempts, they often find themselves in a vicious cycle where solutions only bring temporary effects. In this article, we will explore how specialized hypnotherapy programs differ from classic methods and why they bring long-lasting results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smoking as a symptom \u2013 not a problem in itself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key differences between the various approaches to quitting smoking is that most methods treat smoking as a problem in itself. Most strategies focus on reducing or eliminating the symptom, rather than addressing the root cause of the urge to smoke. This means that the individual tries to contain or reduce the symptom, but does not address the underlying cause that causes the urge to smoke in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The subconscious as the key to lasting change<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason why people keep returning to the habit despite their conscious desire to quit is subconscious. If the decision to quit smoking were purely conscious, it would be easy to do \u2013 it would be enough to hear the warnings about the dangers of smoking and make the decision. However, we know that this is not the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many smokers sincerely want to quit, but subconscious patterns and deep-rooted associations prevent them from lasting success. This is why quitting smoking requires working at the subconscious level, where these patterns actually form and persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Classical hypnosis vs. specialized hypnotherapy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Classical hypnosis also often focuses on the symptom. In a hypnotic state, the individual receives suggestions such as: \u00bbYou are now a non-smoker,\u00ab \u00bbYou are breathing with full lungs,\u00ab or \u00bbSmoking is unpleasant for you.\u00ab While such an approach can help, its effect is often temporary, as it does not address the deeper causes that lead to the need to smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the specialized hypnotherapy programs we develop at the Institute for Clinical and Conversational Hypnosis, we focus on eliminating the core causes. Instead of simply trying to reduce the desire to smoke, we eliminate the underlying subconscious patterns that cause this desire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is this approach more effective?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When people quit smoking using conventional methods, they often experience a strong craving for a cigarette, nervousness, or seek out substitute habits such as snacking or chewing gum. This means that the symptom (smoking) simply transforms into another form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specialized hypnotherapy is not just about forcing a person to quit smoking \u2013 it is about triggering a deep internal change that eliminates the need to smoke at a subconscious level.
